Club Rules and Code of Conduct – PongPlanet Hayward
💳 FEES
Membership and program fees must be paid at the start of the applicable period.
Exceptions require prior approval from the Club Director.
Memberships are non-transferable.
Drop-in fees must be paid upon arrival.
🕔 CLOSING
All play must finish 5 minutes before closing time.
🏓 OPEN PLAY GUIDELINES
A typical session starts with a warm-up followed by an 11-point Best of 5 match.
If there’s a challenger, warm-up time is limited to 3 minutes, followed by an 11-point Best of 5 match.
If two players are practicing instead of playing a match, they must vacate the table after 20 minutes, including warm-up.
If only one challenger is waiting, the winner stays.
📍 HOW TO CHALLENGE
If all tables are in use, a new player can place their paddle at a table to claim next spot.
A player currently playing may not challenge at another table at the same time.
🔁 THREE MATCH RULE
If two or more challengers are present when a match begins:
A player who wins 3 consecutive matches and their final opponent must vacate the table for the first two challengers.
🛠️ EQUIPMENT & FACILITY RULES
Players are responsible for any damage caused to club property.
Do not lean on, sit on, or strike the tables.
Intentional damage may result in expulsion and loss of membership.
Smoking, gambling, weapons, and alcohol are strictly prohibited.
No food or drink is allowed in the playing areas.
Players must clean up personal belongings and trash after each session.
🤝 BEHAVIOR & SPORTSMANSHIP
All players must act in a sportsmanlike manner.
Loud or offensive language will not be tolerated.
Respect others: shake hands or give a high/low five after a match.
Experienced players are encouraged to support and guide newcomers.
All players should help collect stray balls and return them to the ball containers.
📆 CANCELLATIONS / REFUNDS
All programs and memberships are non-refundable.
For Private Lessons, a 24-hour cancellation notice is required for a full refund.
Missed Group Lessons are not eligible for refunds or rescheduling.
🛡️ ENFORCEMENT
The club reserves the right to assign/reserve tables for training, coaching, tournaments, or special events.
Club Director, members, and staff are authorized to enforce all rules.
Violations may result in denied service, expulsion, or membership suspension.
No refunds will be issued for suspended players.
